| John and Bobbi Sullivan leave for Kenya, East
Africa, Saturday, November 6, 2004 via London. They return on November 22. John
will be teaching at the International Council of the
International Christian
Ministries Annual Meeting in Nairobi for six days. The IC brings together
annually the leaders of ICM's seminaries throughout Africa to plan for the
coming year, report of progress, and to encourage one another. John will teach
each day at the start of the meetings on being a servant-first leader. He hopes
to encourage the men and women attending, most of whom already practice servant
leadership, to continue to serve as they lead. While there, John will also team-teach with a
brother Christian, Onesmus Weru, a member of the ICM staff in Nairobi, material
developed by Dr. John Maxwell and EQUIP Ministries, and part of the
"Million
Leaders Mandate" to reach every continent of the world and equip Christian
leaders to impact their world for Christ. They will be teaching a gathering of
business leaders in Nairobi and then following the IC, they travel to the
coastal city of Mombassa to address a group of 500 pastors over a period of two
days.
While the IC is in session, Bobbi Sullivan will
be working with several of the wives of the ICM staff and Board of Directors
together with several women involved in ministries to children and women in
Kenya and East Africa.
We covet your prayers for safe travel, physical
safety and health, and the empowering of the Holy Spirit. Please pray that the
Holy Spirit will speak through John and Bobbi and that they will receptive to
His voice. Pray also that the hearts of those "with ears to hear" will be open
to the gospel and that Jesus Christ will be glorified.
To God be the Glory!
